Two new sizes for OLED modules

Seoul Semiconductor has expanded its mid/high power range with another innovative alternative. With the newly introduced LED family "3030" (STW8C2SA/STW9C2SA), both the LED chip and the package technology have been optimized with regard to thermal stability and luminous efficacy.

Seoul Semiconductor, one of the world's leading LED manufacturers, introduces a new mid-power LED series. The STW8B12x/STW9B12x has a space-saving footprint and reduced package dimensions, enabling applications with concentrated light sources.
Compared to conventional UV light sources, UV LEDs are much more effective because they generate high light intensities in the UV range in a narrow wavelength range. Conventional UV luminaires require a high power supply and offer only a short service life compared to UV LEDs. Conventional UV light sources such as mercury, xenon and deuterium lamps are operated with high voltage and may emit disturbing, harmful light. They develop ozone and contain toxic material (mercury). Novel UV LEDs are operated at low voltage, are very robust, environmentally friendly (no toxic substances) and emit only the desired wavelengths.
