The circadian rhythm refers to the biological 24-hour sleep-wake rhythm of humans. Light plays an essential role in this. A lack of daylight or, for example, artificial light with high blue peaks in the evening hours can lead to disturbances in the circadian rhythm and ultimately result in sleep disorders, listlessness or other impairments.
