Neumüller Elektronik GmbH has been operating very successfully as a family business not only in the region but also throughout Europe for 60 years now. The management and the staff therefore agree: The economic success of the year coming to an end in a few days should be shared with people who are not on the "sunny side of life".
That is why they decided to support aid projects in Forchheim, Fürth, Erlangen and Höchstadt for Christmas 2018. A total of 250 fabric bags, full to bursting with food, sweets and hygiene articles were handed over to the Aischgründer Lebensmittel-Punkt, which supplies food of all kinds to around 500 socially disadvantaged people throughout the year.
"We are deeply impressed by how the food point at Laufer Mühle is helping people who live at the subsistence level," explains Tanja Hollfelder from the management."
According to the Henry Ford quote, which is also our company motto (coming together is the beginning, being together is progress, staying together is success), we want to make our contribution to give those affected by poverty the feeling that they will not be forgotten," adds owner and managing director Uwe Fischer.
Of course, it shouldn't just be packing the gift bags. In order to be able to involve all employees, the idea was born to cook for the "packers" in the media café run by Laufer Mühle. It turned out to be a brilliant idea, because everyone involved not only enjoyed the work for a good cause, but was also well catered for by their colleagues.
In a brief presentation, Michael Thiem, Managing Director of the Laufer Mühle social business establishment, described the therapeutic and pedagogical concepts used by the Aisch founder's social enterprise to successfully integrate long-term unemployed and addicted people both professionally and socially. With its donation the company Neumüller would like to support this help to the self-help beginning.
