The luminous flux is a photometric quantity which, taking into account the wavelength dependence of the sensitivity of the human eye (V-lambda curve), indicates the visible radiation emitted by a light source per unit of time. The luminous flux is thus a measure of the total brightness of a light source perceived by the human eye V(λ) and thus characterizes the total light output of a light source. The luminous flux is specified in the unit of measurement lumen (lm).
